Scope note

  • Magistrates in ancient Athens from the year 434 BCE onwards. The treasurers of the Other Gods were ten in number, initially annually selected. They had the duty to concentrate the treasures of the various temples on the Acropolis in front of the Assembly. For some time, they were also in charge of certain public payments in place of the apodektai.
