Scope note
- The craftsmen who fabricated and sold battens. The batten is one of the components of the loom. It is a rectangle about 10-12 cm high and has a number of thin teeth that are attached to two narrow parallel reeds or woods. These craftsmen also repaired the broken battens. There are small and large battens that were used depending on the fabric.
