  • Facilities and building complexes near thermal springs that provide thermalist services. Thermal establishments date back to Greco-Roman antiquity and in the course of time have taken many forms and social functions (thermae, balnae, kaplıca, spa etc.). Since the 19th century thermal establishments have grown in size for accommodating multiple services. They are often concentrated in centers of therapy and wellness tourism (spa towns) and play an important role in local economy.
