Scope note
- Care and manipulation of honeybees to enable them to produce and store more honey than they need so that the excess can be collected. Honeybees are also kept for other products they produce or their services as pollinators of fruit and vegetable blossoms. Beekeeping is one of the oldest forms of animal husbandry.
