Scope note
- According to the contemporary performance-centered approach of theatre that conceives the dramatic text as one of the performance elements, not necessarily the predominant one, performance text denotes any text that can be used in a performance. It is a new play with a new structure that can comprise the dramatic text but is not identical to it.
