Scope note
- The system that was based on the silver tetradrachm of 17.2 gr. with subdivisions such as the drachm of 4.3 gr, the hemidrachm of 2.18 gr., the obol of 0.73 gr. etc. The attic weight standard originated from the Euboeic standard and at first included didrachms/staters of 8.6 gr.
