Scope note
- Organised armed conflicts between military units that belong to opposing political organisations (states, interstate alliances, resistance organisations, revolutionary organisations etc.), which aim at the realisation of claims and expectations relating to territorial, geopolitical, and economic power through the physical destruction of enemy troops, the destruction of infrastructure, logistic capacity, and economy of the enemy, and, overall, through overpowering the opponents and imposing conditions on them.
